About River Clyde Homes

River Clyde was formed in 2007 to take on the transfer of the housing stock from Inverclyde Council. It is a Registered Social Landlord and currently owns and manages over 6,000 affordable homes, providing factoring services to a further 2,000 households.

Our work with River Clyde Homes

Allia C&C began working with River Clyde Homes in 2022 when it carried out a treasury review and supported its request for new funding and refinance of its existing facilities. This has delivered a total funding package of £155m.

 

Since then we have continued to work with River Clyde Homes and in 2023 were appointed, via a competitive procurement process, as the retained treasury advisor.

 

Allia C&C provides regular treasury support, ranging from BP validation work, annual treasury review and regular board updates.

 

More recently we have been supporting River Clyde Homes as it entered into a Loan Linked ISDA with NatWest to ensure it has the appropriate ability to enter into hedging giving protections from floating rate debt movements.

The impact

The funding tender exercise provided River Clyde Homes with a funding solution at a time when the funding market was very challenging. It was able to raise the new funding required to continue the important investment programme that modernises and future proofs the existing housing stock.

 

The ongoing treasury work provides River Clyde Homes with expert advice and provided the executive team and Board with assurances when making important treasury related decisions.
