Paul spent over 20 years with the accountants KPMG, including seven years as a partner. From there he moved to the charity Young Enterprise East of England, where he was Chief Executive for seven years. Paul acted as head of finance of Isabel Hospice for three years as part of a portfolio of finance roles in the charity sector before joining Allia in 2012. He was CFO of Allia Ltd for over 10 years, but stood down from the beginning of 2025 to concentrate on Allia C&C, where he remains CFO. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting.
